A Study in Hand Stitches (including button sewing!)

I’ve just decided to digitize and upload all my cool sewing lessons I have saved from high school. Enjoy!

Wonderful read and information here!

Getting mighty pissed off right about now

Okay, so I’m going to Kurume in September and that’s great, I’m going to Japan and it’s going to be a good experience, but the more I find out the more pissed off I am with the Japanese department at my uni.
I study Japanese and Spanish, so naturally made a point of saying I’d like to keep the Spanish up, talked to my tutor about it and he agreed that it was a sensible and reasonable request.
So there’s no Spanish course.
Okay, fine, bit peeved but I’m sure I’ll deal. Although I may drop it now as how the hell am I going to survive a fourth year module without any language input for a year?
I also remember a conversation where I was asked if there were specific elements I’d like to focus on. I said cultural, more humanities based because I am terrible with business, economics and the like. None of it goes in; I just don’t think that way. He expressed concern, understood that people’s brains worked in different ways. Yet, looking at the website today I realise that for their culture and society module “they will study geography, history and economics on Japan and the world. ”

I mean really. Did they listen to a fucking word?
